So I see this pod looking thing all the time on the fruit carts in Pachacamac. Sometimes they are huge, other times they are the size seen here (and caught on camera in the Metro, LOL).
But I have no idea what it is…it looks like some giant pea pod or a cactus…

I think it’s called Inga…. it has black seeds, surrounded by a white fluffy surrounding skin

the name of the fruit is Pacae and the white flesh of that fruit is like cotton candy.- It has inside a black seed,

Yes It is sweet. inside the vain You will find a few pieces of white pulp, Inside the pulp there are black seeds. I do not know anyone who make dishes with it. Maybe if you are innovative would be the first to do something delicious with it . Cut it by the middle open the vain and try it plain. Ask to the seller if the pacay you choose is ready to eat.
